The research group Biomedical Data & System Science, led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Galina Ivanova, is primarily concerned with the development of methods and algorithms for signal and information analysis in the biomedical field. It focusses on innovative technologies and methods at the interface between medical technology, computer science, medicine and psychology. One of the main goals is to enable or improve the diagnosis and the treatment of various diseases. The research group performs linear and non-linear biosignal and data analyses, connectivity and network analyses on different scales and multimodal analyses. In addition to the analysis of cognitive, psycho-physiological and neurological data, diagnostic, therapeutic and neurotechnological applications are part of its research.
